Colby leaned back in the chair of the conference room, listening to the few phrases that kept coming up around him. With a hint of weariness, he spoke up, "Is that everything?"
His words instantly brought silence to the room.
Everyone held their breath and watched Colby, fearing that the formidable figure had found some displeasure again.
"It seems everything's in order then."
Colby stood up. Since waking up this morning, he had felt an inexplicable unease, a sensation that certainly wasn't good.
Seeing Colby rise, one of the attendees also stood up in a bit of a panic, "Mr. Colby, there are other matters awaiting your…”
"What's the point of having you all here if I have to personally see to everything?"
Colby's brow furrowed as he said, "Handle the rest on your own; I have other matters to attend to."
Without another word, Colby left the conference room.
His secretary followed behind, asking, "Mr. Colby, are we heading to Tredgold Corporation next?"
"No, back to Aldridge Estate."
The secretary paused upon hearing Colby's answer.
Back to Aldridge Estate?
But there were so many troublesome matters waiting for Colby's attention at the company.
What could possibly be more important than handling official business?

When Colby arrived, looking worn from the journey, Jenna and Adler were sitting in the living room, sorting through files on their phones.
The phones weren't sufficient, so they had brought out three laptops and two tablets.
