The bodyguard hesitated for a moment, but the thought of just going shopping made it impossible for him to refuse Kiran. The bodyguard could only reply, “Of course, Mr. Angelo, but there is a meeting this afternoon. How long do you plan to shop?”
“One hour.”
Kiran's words quickly made Sandy realize that the Pollard family had fallen under the control of The Silent Shadows.
Otherwise, how could a mere bodyguard dare to inquire about her brother's private time?
“My brother will spend as much time with me as he wants, who are you to interfere?”
Sandy deliberately snapped at the bodyguard driving the car.
Even if the bodyguard felt aggrieved, he could only bear it silently: “My apologies, Miss. I hope you can forgive my error.”
Sandy clung to Kiran's arm inside the car, her heart pounding excitedly.
She had always considered herself the little princess of the Pollard family, believing her father and brother were the most powerful figures abroad.
She never imagined that one day the Pollard family would fall into the hands of strangers and that they would need to tread carefully in front of a few bodyguards.
Soon, the car stopped next to a shopping mall.
Sandy and Kiran got out of the car one after the other.
When the two bodyguards attempted to follow them, Sandy discontentedly said, “My brother is accompanying me shopping! What are you doing here?”
“Our duty is to ensure Miss and Mr. Angelo's safety.”
Just as Sandy was about to retort, Kiran slowly said, “Let them carry things for you; it will be more convenient.”
