Robert was going on and on, but Sophie cut him off: "I really don't care why he got plastic surgery. What I want to know is, how did you know I was coming to see you tonight?"
Robert, looking a bit sheepish, replied, "A beautiful lady told us."
"A beautiful lady?"
"Yeah, she said you'd be stopping by tonight, so she gave us a chance to serve our cause. That's why Spencer came up with this plan. After my mom passed, it didn't matter to me whether he was around or not, but he was still my dad. When I got back today, Spencer had already killed him and said... that since there was a sacrifice, we had to see the mission through. I was so confused, I just went along with it..."

"I know people say I'm dumb, but Spencer's my only real friend. I support whatever he does. Joining The Silent Shadows was Spencer's dream—he was all about it, and so were others in the group, so I just tagged along... Miss Sophie, you're not really gonna kill us, are you?"
Robert was genuinely terrified.
Sophie rubbed her temples, momentarily at a loss for words.
If she were dealing with two ruthless members of The Silent Shadows, she could justify her actions as a public service.
But facing two high school kids caught up in The Silent Shadows' web...
