Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 1564

Sophie shook her head, saying, "I don't want to drag them into this mess. The Silent Shadows have their eyes on Odie. If it weren't for the safety of Aldridge Estate, they would have countless ways to whisk Odie away. Jenna and Adler are too restless to stay cooped up at the estate. The best plan is to keep our distance for now. Once things calm down, I'll explain everything to them."

Just then, Sophie noticed Harold staring intently at his computer screen, looking quite serious.

"What's going on? Did you find something already?"

Harold replied, "Not exactly a lead, but this website looks a lot like something I paused..."

He hesitated, then corrected himself, "It reminds me of an investigation I put on the back burner."

"What investigation? Tell me more."

Harold explained, "I've been digging into a dark web site involved in black market trading. It used to be strictly overseas, but now it's spread to Devonport. Check it out, the website's prefix, 'guangming', is the same as those black market sites."

Seeing the dark web trading site, Sophie almost laughed at Harold's frustration, "It's so obvious, and you're just now realizing it's from The Silent Shadows?"

"Knowing that early doesn't help if we can't figure out the site's full reach or who created it, let alone pinpoint their headquarters. It's all just talk." Harold continued, "Now you see why I shelved this investigation?"

"Yeah, I get it. It's tough to trace back to the source. It's like we've tried so hard but still can't flush out The Silent Shadows' leader."

As they talked, Sophie browsed through the webpage.

It listed all kinds of illegal items for sale, from banned medical supplies and drugs to human organs and blood banks.
