"Have you... been in a bad mood?" Sophie asked, eyeing Odie with growing confusion. Why did Odie always shut down when Gordon was brought up?
"I'm already laid up here. Stop pestering me and just leave once you're done talking." Odie turned to Jonah beside him, "Show Ms. Sophie out, or do I really have to spell it out for you?"
"Yes... boss." Jonah walked over to Sophie, gesturing for her to exit.
"Take care and heal up. I don't have time to drop by and chit-chat anyway." Sophie turned to Jonah, "Keep a close watch on your boss. Make sure he doesn't wander around Devonport. The Silent Shadows are gunning for Odie. If he gets caught again, I can't promise I can bail him out."
"Yes, Ms. Sophie," Jonah replied, catching Odie's attention.
"Who's your boss, her or me?" Odie asked, eyebrows furrowing deeper.
Jonah glanced between Sophie and Odie, finally managing to say, "The boss... is the boss."
"Then get back here! Who told you to take orders from someone else?"
Sophie found Odie's childish antics amusing. Who would've thought that Odie, the feared and revered figure in Summerfield, could be such a stubborn softy?
"I'm off," Sophie said, leaving Odie's room with those two words.
