Reece was driving a convertible, with Sophie lounging in the passenger seat, gazing out at the vibrant cityscape. Even in the dead of night, the city was alive with lights and colors, buzzing with energy.
The cool night breeze brushed against Sophie's face as Reece picked up speed. She closed her eyes, letting the thrill of the ride wash over her. Compared to her past adventures, though, this seemed pretty tame.
After a bit, Sophie opened her eyes and teased, "Alright, it's been half an hour, and we've looped around three times. Isn't it time to head back?"
"Feeling any better?" Reece asked, easing off the gas.
Sophie nodded, "A little, but it's not quite the rush of bungee jumping."
Once terrified of heights, she now found the adrenaline of extreme sports somewhat childish after everything she'd been through in Devonport over the last two years.
Reece chuckled, "Let's hit up somewhere fun."
"Sure," Sophie agreed, "I could use a change of scenery."
"Hold tight then," Reece said, revving the engine again.
They zoomed through the main streets of the city, the car humming with energy, until they pulled up outside a club.
Reece hopped out first, opening the door for Sophie. "I figured you'd bring me to a nightclub," she said with a smirk.
"See? I told you, I'm just like you," Reece replied, sliding off his sunglasses. "So, what do you think? Want to check it out?"
