"It's gone now."
Sophie thought for a moment before saying, "So, you gave me this ring because Mrs. Costello once wore a similar one?"
"It's a Costello family heirloom. My father gave it to my mother. I haven't found that exact ring yet, but I did find a gemstone just like it. In my heart, you deserve the best."
Colby took Sophie's hand.
Sophie wrapped her arms around Colby's neck and said, "I know. I must be the most important person in your heart."
Upstairs, Adler and Jenna had someone bring down the testing equipment. Jenna said, "Let me handle this! I'm the jewelry expert here!"
She placed the jewelry on the testing machine, and soon the machine provided the data.
The purity, quality, and composition of the three gemstones were essentially the same!
The data showed they were cut from the same gemstone.
"It's really cut from the same gemstone! Damn, this is more unbelievable than a TV drama!" Adler exclaimed, as if he'd just discovered a new continent.
Sophie and Jenna also gathered around to look, and indeed, all the values matched up.
Jenna said, "This is so bizarre. How could such a coincidence happen?"
Just then, Gordon stepped out of the elevator.
Jenna asked, puzzled, "Mr. Gordon, what brings you here?"
"Let me see it."
Gordon stretched out his hand, and Sophie placed the three gemstones in his palm.
