Zivon was speechless. ‘Is this her attitude towards me? Is this what she actually thinks?’
“You think I’m getting angry over you? You're overthinking it.” He let go of her chin roughly. “If you don’t tell me the real reason, neither the partner of your emotional affair, Stefan Talton, nor your ex-boyfriend, Keith Burton, can get you out of here.”
Xavia was taken aback. ‘What does he mean?’
However, Zivon had already left, and the door of the room was closed once again before she could have the chance to answer.
To Xavia's disappointment, the door had an advanced fingerprint lock and could not be opened, and there was only one window in the room. Not only could she not open it, but when she looked outside, all she saw was an endless sea of darkness!
He had actually confined her for Jenna’s sake!
No! She could not stay here. Yulia’s condition was so bad that Xavia had to sing lullabies and comfort Yulia through voice calls every night.
Additionally, Dolly was a complete stranger to Darlsbury...
“Open the door, Zivon Burton, I’ve got things to do! Dolly will worry about me, and Yulia needs me! You can’t keep me here!”
However, no matter how much Xavia yelled, there was no response from outside.
Xavia eventually sat on the ground, her heart sinking.
She never knew that such a gentle and affectionate man could be so terrifyingly cold.
Outside the room, Zivon was sitting on the couch in the living room, his handsome features frigid.
It was impossible to tell what he was thinking.
As he watched the woman sitting on the ground in the surveillance monitor, his frown deepened.
After a while, he got up to leave, but suddenly felt an intense pain in his stomach. Gritting his teeth, he collapsed onto the couch.
***
Xavia fell asleep sitting on the ground that night. In the middle of the night, a piercing chill assaulted her. She opened her eyes only to be greeted by silence.
The time on the wall showed four o’clock.
Zivon should have gone back to accompany Jenna, right?
