The fact that Xavia had looked around and even told him that she loved him was what triggered Zivon’s suspicion. After all, Jenna knew better than to do such things! To test his theory out, Zivon had forcefully kissed her… and judging from her reactions, he was now surer than ever that she was Xavia!
Still… Why was she here? While pretending to be Jenna, no less? Whatever the case was, he wasn’t about to let her off that easily. After all, this was the woman who had turned his world upside down. Since she had dared to take the initiative to knock on his door again, there was no way he’d just allow her to leave!
With that in mind, Zivon got his cell phone out before sending a message to the property management office…
Moving back to Xavia, she immediately wiped the kiss marks off her face the second she got into the elevator. For him to kiss her like that even though she was under the guise of Jenna… it was extremely discomforting, especially when she had assumed that his relationship with Jenna hadn’t progressed since her departure…
That aside… had she not run off, would he and Jenna have…? …No, she wasn’t qualified to be jealous or even sad. After all, she was the one who had left him! It’d be pure vanity if she still expected him to even think of her!
Understanding that, Xavia then took a deep breath before calming herself down… However, it was at that moment that she realized that something was off. Even though she had pressed the elevator button, she was apparently still on the sixty-ninth floor! What on earth was going on…?
Pressing the button again, an AI voice suddenly said, ‘Please scan your residence card or fingerprint to proceed.’
…Fingerprint? Trying her luck, she then placed a finger against the sensor… but even after she had tried using all ten of them, it didn’t seem to work! Had Jenna not submitted her fingerprint for this system?! For god’s sake!
In the end, Xavia was forced to return to Zivon’s apartment room… and after knocking on the door, she was prompted to say, “…Um… I can’t head down without a residence card, Zivon…”
Shortly after, the door creaked open… and upon standing before her, the prestigious man stared straight into her eyes as he replied in a rather sensual tone, “Since you haven’t left, you may as well stay the night.”
