But to his surprise, it was Jenna instead. The smiling woman had a cake in hand, and upon seeing Zivon, she was prompted to say, “There you are… You suddenly left last night and you didn’t even eat your cake! Regardless, once grandma found out about that, she told me to get another one for you. Also, she said that you need to wish for a second child…”
Upon hearing that, Zivon simply displayed a poker face as he replied in an aloof tone, “Don’t bring grandma up to pressure me. I haven’t even talked to you about what you did to me last night. No matter, just get out of my sight.”
Even though Jenna knew that he had been disgusted with her for the longest time, Zivon had mostly remained gentlemanly, and he rarely ever told her to get lost. With that in mind, the fact that he was being so direct about wanting her to leave now made Jenna clench her fists.
“…Look, I know you’re mad about that particular hallucinogen I chose, and I’m also aware that you’re upset that you can’t ask for the divorce immediately. I just wanted to see if you were really that disgusted with me, you know? Besides, we have to consider others as well if we want to divorce…”
For context, though Zivon had wanted to discuss the divorce with Jenna the very next morning, Lady Burton ‘somehow’ found out about that, and she had ordered him to get back together with Jenna. In fact, that old woman had even warned him that if they still wanted to divorce, then they had to do it over her dead body!
Sneering as he glared at the pretentious woman, Zivon simply replied, “Oh please, you think I didn’t know you told grandma about this? Only you could do such a thing. You’re lucky you still have Maison.”
Essentially, he was saying that if she hadn’t birthed that boy, then he wouldn’t have tolerated her for this long, and Jenna understood that. Regardless, it was clear just how mad this man now was, and upon realizing that he now saw her as nothing more than a walking corpse, Jenna couldn’t help but feel a shiver run down her spine…
Eventually, she managed to mutter, “…I’m… just trying to look out for you… Besides, how would you even know if Xavia’s serious about you? I’m saying it now that getting a divorce with me is rash of you, and you’re completely disregarding the impact that you’ll cause just because of her… I just don’t want you to realize too late that all this wasn’t worth it in the end…”
“That’s none of your business, now get. Lost. I won’t repeat myself a third time,” scoffed Zivon in an icy tone.
Though Jenna was stunned to hear that, she eventually replied, “…If you don’t believe me, then try asking where Xavia is right now… I can assure you that she’s gone off to look for Keith. That aside, as long as grandma is still around, I’ll continue trying to make you understand that I’m the one who loves you most…”
