Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 865

Keith walked over and said, “Uncle Zivon, it's a good thing you’re here. I should really learn how to handle people from you.”

Zivon hummed coldly, glanced briefly at Xavia who was behind him, then asked him, “I heard that you moved here to live on-site?”

“Yes. The next few days are a crucial planning period for the development of the project. I didn't want there to be any mistakes so I moved here last night to avoid having to run back and forth,” Keith explained truthfully, then added, “I couldn't get used to the meals here so I asked Xavia to come over and take care of me.”

Zivon’s gaze turned icy when he heard that, and a cold aura emanated from him. Finally, he said, “I have something to ask the Third Young Lady about Jenna’s personal affairs. Third Young Lady, come with me to the office.”

Xavia did not want to speak to him so she said bluntly, “I'm sorry, Young Master Burton, I never really interacted much with Jenna so I do not have much understanding about her affairs. Young Master Burton, you can speak to Jenna directly or get someone else to investigate. I have to go make lunch for Young Master Keith so I don’t have time now. I’ll leave first.”

Xavia turned around and left right after she was done speaking.

The corners of Zivon’s mouth twitched. Wanting to ask her about Jenna’s affairs was obviously just an excuse—he couldn't believe she could not tell.

Besides, it was only nine o’clock, why would she be cooking lunch now?

She was clearly trying to avoid him.

Zivon was very irritated. He pushed past Keith and went into the kitchen.

The kitchen of the project department was very big. Breakfast was not provided so there was no one there at the moment.

Xavia stood in front of the vegetable rack as she sorted out vegetables. When she heard the sound of footsteps, she figured it was most probably him and had hurried towards the furthest corner.

Zivon gritted his teeth in annoyance and closed the door with the back of his hand. He did not go over to her but simply stood at the door and asked coldly, “You’re not even going to give me a chance to explain?”

His sarcastic tone was like a knife through her heart, and Xavia's hurt resurfaced. “I don’t need an explanation, I only look at the results. Whatever the explanation might be, the result is enough to make me back out. I don’t need to listen to anything else. Young Master Burton, we should just part without any hard feelings.”
