His question momentarily stunned Xavia. Truth be told, if she could, she didn’t even want to think about it, though that was pretty much impossible by this point... Still, there was no way she’d be able to come up with an answer in such a short amount of time, so why was he so keen on forcing it out of her…?
Looking at how silent she had gotten, he knew she still didn’t have an answer… Just as Zivon was sighing, the waitress returned with some juice… and to the waitress’s surprise, the two had grown awkward in his brief absence.
Hadn’t they been all lovey-dovey just seconds ago…? Whatever the reason was, the waitress was too happy to see Young Master Burton and Jenna to care. How lucky to be able to meet them in person! She had to get their autographs—and maybe even some pictures of them—once their awkward mood went away!
As she was busy thinking about it, she ended up tripping… and that sent the juice flying toward Xavia! Thankfully, Zivon was quick to react, and he instantly got up to shield Xavia!
While he successfully prevented the juice from drenching over the girl, his exquisite tailor made suit was now drenched in fruit juice!
Utterly horrified by what she had done, the waitress immediately began whimpering, “I-I’m so sorry…! I-I didn’t mean to, Young Master Burton…!”
It was only when the waitress began handing some tissues to Zivon—and Zivon’s unique scent filled Xavia’s nostrils—that Xavia finally registered all that had just happened. To think that he had so willingly taken the blow for her… Even though it was just a cold drink, his actions spoke louder than his words, and Xavia found herself quickly growing flustered.
Zivon himself simply removed his suit and tossed it aside before saying, “It’s fine. You can leave first.”
Once the waitress had left in a hurry, the room instantly fell silent… Despite the fact that the room was quite spacious, it simultaneously felt rather cramped and depressing…
It took her a while, but the anxious Xavia eventually managed to mutter in a soft tone, “…T-thank you…”
