“That aside, I have some things to do, so I’ll be taking my leave first…” concluded Xavia as she turned to leave. Upon seeing that, Bianca gave Zaui a curt bow before chasing after Xavia.
Xavia herself only stopped when she was by the roadside… and it was then when Bianca realized that Xavia had been crying, her eyes were all reddened…
“…I know it’s hard that Young Master Burton’s been targeting you but… Please don’t take it to heart, Xavia…” persuaded Bianca.
How couldn’t she? That once gentle and kind man was now spouting words that constantly jabbed at her heart! Anyone would be unable to bear it! What shocked her most, however, was the fact that Zivon had actually dragged Jenna along to humiliate her…! All this was too much for her heart to bear…!
In the end, Xavia was prompted to say, “…Let’s head back to Darlsbury, Bianca…”
Xavia had had it with this place.
Since Bianca had suffered heartbreak before, she knew how Xavia was feeling. While she didn’t know the specifics of their misunderstanding, Bianca had to agree that Zivon had been a bit too much as well tonight. With that, Bianca hugged the distressed girl before saying, “Alright, please don’t cry anymore… I’ll get some tickets back tonight, alright…? We’re going home…”
Back upstairs, Zaui was feeling pleased with himself for winning that bargaining chip.
“This party is by far the most interesting one that I’ve attended! You know what, let’s forget about the contract’s concessions and head to a different venue instead, Young Master Burton!”
“…It’s already pretty late, so let’s just meet another day… As for the contract, the bet is what it is,” replied Zivon in a slightly gloomy tone.
Watching as Zivon walked out of the private room, Jenna quickly ran after him. Once she was by his side, she was prompted to say in a gentle tone, “Are you tired, Zivon? Why don’t I give you a massage? Or would you prefer I call a masseuse over…?”
In order to play the role of a perfect wife, Jenna was doing her best to refrain from saying a thing about what had happened earlier. To her disappointment, Zivon didn’t even seem to notice.
