The second she considered this, panic instantly set in again. Since Ava had only called both of them over, she should’ve seen this coming a bit earlier…!

Whatever the case was, Xavia quickly clenched her fists to remain calm as she replied, “…I-I don’t need the shares… I’m already pleased enough that my entry got approved and recognized. With that said, I insist that I make my own decision on the matter… Don’t worry, I won’t be trying to make a big deal out of my request… Honestly, I’ll probably never use it. So if there’s nothing else, I’ll be taking my leave first…”

Following that, Xavia quickly turned to leave, knowing full well that trying too hard to explain herself would only increase the risk of their relationship getting found out.

As for Ava, she looked rather confused as she watched Xavia scurry off. Shaking her head, she then turned to face Zivon as she said, “Either way… Since the matter regarding the design draft is over, you don’t have to worry about it anymore… With that said, there’s a new collaborative project happening in Milan, and I’ll need you to head over to handle it…”

Though her voice was kind, it was clear that she was giving a command, and Zivon couldn’t help but frown. After all, from his experience, a business trip to Milan could last from half a month to over two months…

With that in mind, he was prompted to say, “…I’d prefer to stay in the country for the next six months, Grandma…”

“You don’t have to worry about me, Zivon… I can still hold on for a month or two… Besides, Keith’s already handling the green space project, and you have enough connections to handle yourself once you’re there. Everything will work out fine…” replied Ava before slowly wheeling herself back into her room…

It was evident that she wasn’t keen on negotiating about any of this, and Zivon couldn’t help but get mixed feelings about the entire thing. Shaking the thought off, he then exited the room and began to leave…

Once he was outside, however, he heard a soft voice call out, “Psst…! Young Master Burton…!”

Turning to face the voice, Zivon was slightly surprised to see Xavia’s head popping out from the back of a tree trunk! Even so, he quickly snapped out of it before walking up to her and asking in an estranged tone, “Yes?”

…It had just been a day, no…? Had he really collected himself that quickly and moved on already...? While Xavia’s heart ached at the thought of it, she made sure not to show it as she replied, “…Um… Well… Lady Burton may know something… After all, the fact that she told me to marry Keith in front of you is probably her way of telling us not to try anything funny-”
