Narrowing his deep eyes at her, Zivon eventually asked, “…You’re not a doctor. Are you absolutely sure?”

The way he said it made it seem like he doubted that she was really pregnant. This, of course, made Xavia slightly irked, prompting her to say, “I am. Why wouldn’t I know my own body? I’ll have you know that I made sure to take a contraceptive pill during our ‘little incident’ back then. That aside, it’s been ages since then and my periods have resumed.”

“You’re aware that we haven’t copulated since then as well, and since I haven’t done it with Keith either, how could I possibly be pregnant? Unless you’re telling me that there’s something odd that I ate!” scoffed Xavia in a sassy tone as she looked right back at him.

Zivon himself already knew that this arrogant girl would never allow others to easily have the last say. Regardless, after thinking a bit about her words, Zivon couldn’t help but notice something odd. Raising a slight brow, he eventually asked, “…You… haven’t done it with Keith?”

His question momentarily left Xavia dumbfounded. She had been so keen on explaining the pregnancy issue that she completely forgot about that other incident!

Zivon himself continued staring at the helpless Xavia, his gaze as deep as the deepest abyss… The truth was, he had overheard Xavia and Keith’s conversation earlier, so he already knew that she wasn’t pregnant.

What surprised him, however, was how angry Keith first was when he questioned her. After all, with how certain Keith was that the child was Zivon’s, it almost seemed like Keith never considered that the child was his. Adding that to the fact that Xavia had just said that she had never copulated with Keith, could it be that…

As Zivon continued speculating, Xavia couldn’t help but feel slightly guilty. It took her a bit, but she eventually replied, “…What I meant was that Keith and I used contraception! I’m not exactly looking to get pregnant so… don’t go thinking about unnecessary things! Either way, I’m leaving!”
