“I was tipsy, and this is the first time I’ve been in a relationship and been attracted to someone. I didn't mean to hurt you… I’m sorry.”

He was the dignified young master of the esteemed Burton family, but he was apologizing to her for such a small thing. It was really very surprising.

Xavia's tense body started to relax, and she looked at him with a hesitant smile. “Young Master Keith, thank you for apologizing. It makes me believe that you really do respect me and my opinion of you.”

“It’s just that…ever since we got into this relationship, we were just supposed to try dating each other. There's no agreement that says you have to make sure I like you, so there's no need to trouble yourself. Nonetheless, I do hope that this kind of thing will not happen again in the future. Of course, if there is anything else that you need me for, I will definitely try my best to help.”

What she meant was that she felt nothing but gratitude for him.

Keith’s face fell.

He really wanted to own her completely and make her his woman. However, considering she wasn't angry about what happened last night and she was still willing to see him, it seemed like he still had a chance.

It didn't matter to Keith what she did with Uncle Zivon last night, he had been given a second chance and he wasn't going to waste it.

“Okay, I'll leave you to your work. I bought you flowers and breakfast—they're on your desk. I'll pick you up in the afternoon.” After speaking, Keith turned around and left.

He got into his car, and was stunned to see Jenna sitting in the passenger seat. “Why are you here?”

Jenna sneered, her tone sharp as she said mockingly, “You’re still seeing Xavia Lockhart? Clearly, you don't know that she was with Zivon last night. In fact, he wants to divorce me because of her.”

“Divorce?” Keith echoed in surprise. He never expected that Uncle Zivon would divorce Jenna because of Xavia, not to mention at a time when Lady Burton was seriously ill!

Now he knew why Xavia had been so formal about their relationship earlier.

Jenna did not notice the protruding veins on the back of Keith’s hand as she tugged at his sleeve urgently. “Xavia is just a b*tch. She is not satisfied even though she has you, and she is still behaving inappropriately with Zivon. Keith, don’t be so nice to her. If she doesn't obediently become your woman, just get rid of her entirely. Otherwise, can you handle it if she cheats on you?”

Of course Keith could not tolerate being cheated on! He had already suffered a relapse last night because of Xavia’s refusal.

Zivon was not the only one who was losing control of his emotions because of Xavia—Keith was also losing his mind trying to make her fall in love with him!

“Keith?” Jenna called out questioningly.

She wanted to use Keith to crush Zivon’s thoughts about Xavia. There was no way she would let him divorce her!

Keith studied her face which was almost identical to Xavia's and snorted coldly. “All of you are in love with Uncle Zivon, but aren’t you still here to please me at the end of the day? You want me to help you, right? Sure, but I want you to pretend to be Xavia and obey me.”
