...Was he seriously still pretending? That’s right, he didn’t know that she had overheard the prison guards’ conversation of him heading to the prison!
“You truly are a good actor, Young Master Burton… You and Jenna are truly a match made in heaven,” scoffed Xavia.
Following that, she finally managed to shake him off and get out of the car... leaving Zivon momentarily frozen in place. From what she had just said, something was definitely off…
His train of thought was cut short when he suddenly heard his phone ring. Fishing his phone out, Zivon couldn’t help but raise a brow when he saw who was calling. Picking the call up, Zivon then asked, “…Fourth Uncle?”
“Zivon! I’m finally free! Come quickly to Full Bloom to celebrate my safe return!”
Since Fourth Uncle was someone that Zivon respected, Zivon simply grunted in agreement. After sending a message to Nathan, he then decided to momentarily put Xavia’s matter aside before heading to Full Bloom…
Meanwhile, an impeccably dressed old man—whose hair was neatly combed—could be seen sitting in one of Full Bloom’s private rooms. Brimming with energy, Fourth Uncle looked completely different from how he had appeared back in prison.
Adding the fact that Chace and Zayne were chatting by his side, no stranger would’ve believed that that old man had just been released from prison…
Regardless, the prestigious Zivon soon entered the room. Upon seeing how joyous the old man was, he couldn’t help but relax a little as he asked, “You were released early, Fourth Uncle?”
Smiling toothily at Zivon, Fourth Uncle then replied, “Let’s just say that my good deeds and performance earned me an early release! Putting that aside, do you have any idea how much pain I’ve been in since the last time we’ve met? I’m sure I would’ve died of curiosity in there, had I not been allowed out early! Either way, you’d best explain everything as part of my prison release present! Otherwise, I’ll break all ties with you!”
This caused Zivon’s expression to momentarily darken. He remembered telling his uncle that he had complicated emotions toward Xavia last time… However, hadn’t things just grown much more complicated now?
Realizing that Zivon wasn’t saying anything, Fourth Uncle then added, “When you said things were complicated… You mean you like her, right? After all, you even got her out of prison before this! Because of that, I didn’t even get a chance to meet her!”
