The house itself had the complete farmhouse look, with earthen walls, wooden windows, and even green tiles. It truly was crafted as traditionally as it could get.
As for the yard, multiple beautiful plants filled the area—that was surrounded by wooden fences—, with even an ancient-looking well located near the corner. Everything seemed extremely lively…
However, the most eye-catching thing there was the thousand-year acacia tree that grew on the right side of the yard… Despite its age, its leaves grew prosperously, and its trunk was thick. The fact that the tree’s branches even extended over the house truly gave the place a unique and rustic appearance…
It all just felt like a hidden land where everything was perfect… And that was no exaggeration. Xavia herself finally understood why Bianca kept insisting on gaining access to this house…
Xavia’s train of thought was cut short when she heard a polite voice say, “Miss Jourdain… Miss Lockhart…”
Turning around, Xavia saw that the one who had spoken was Nathan. Zivon himself—who had a black, custom-made suit on—was walking in front of the butler, looking as cold and prestigious as ever… It almost felt like a god had descended…
Whatever the case was, Bianca was prompted to politely say, “It’s been a while, Young Master Burton…”
After grunting in response, Zivon turned to stare at Xavia with his deep eyes. This, of course, caused Xavia to feel slightly squeamish. Eventually, however, she managed to mutter, “…So… what are the conditions for us to obtain the house…? I’ve given it some thought, and I suggest that you become one of our studio’s investors. Once we get on track, we’ll start returning shares to you…”
It was clear that Xavia only wanted to be in a monetary-based cooperation with Zivon, and this prompted Zivon to stare at her for a moment before replying, “…Do I look like I need money?”
His question momentarily caused Xavia to freeze. True enough, he was the president of the almighty Burton Group, and money was pretty much as worthless as dirt to him… Why would he ever need more of it?
With that in mind, Xavia quickly said, “I didn’t mean it that way… I simply thought that it wouldn’t be good if we used this house for free…”
“I’m glad you see things that way. You two, leave for a while. I want to talk to her alone,” ordered Zivon as he turned to look at Nathan and Bianca.
