The bright atmosphere in the office suddenly turned tense.
Xavia’s wrist was still in Zivon’s grip, and the warmth of his hand felt like fire against her skin. Outrage swept through her and she struggled to break free.
Zivon got straight to the point, his dark eyes fixed on her: “Go ahead…tell me what you want from me.”
Xavia looked up at him furiously.
Was this man incapable of talking like a normal person? He had to drag her into the office and close the door? It made her think that he was going to forcefully kiss her again…
Ew, what was she thinking?!
Quickly pushing away those thoughts, she handed him her file and said briskly, “I need this house. Can you rent it or sell it to me?”
A house?
Zivon raised his eyebrows in surprise. He took the file from her, sat down on the sofa, and opened it. Instantly, his gentle expression turned stormy, and his voice was frigid as he asked, “Did Jenna send you here?”
It didn’t take a genius to tell that the man was enraged.
Xavia didn’t dare lie, and answered truthfully, “No, I needed it. I asked her to help me with it earlier, and she couldn’t… that’s why I came in person.”
Zivon’s expression turned even colder. His eyes narrowed, and his aura became menacing.
How nice… She wanted the house but didn’t want to see him, so she had used Jenna as the middleman. Since Jenna hadn’t been able to get it, she was now forced to approach him personally, and had even wanted to bring Keith with her.
Hmph.
“Get out!” Zivon snarled suddenly, throwing the file to the floor. His rage and ruthlessness was clearly in full force.
Xavia was shocked at his behaviour, but strengthened her resolve as she walked over and picked up the papers. She passed him the one stating the conditions and said firmly, “I really need this house. Take a look at the document first, the rent and other details can be negotiated later.”
