Xavia really didn’t want to head over… Keith, for one, didn’t want her to go there alone either, which prompted him to say, “I’ll go fetch her with you.”

“…Sure. Let’s go,” replied Xavia, who knew that denying Keith’s request would make it seem like she was having an affair with Zivon. Then again, it wasn’t like she was planning to disagree anyway. After all, Zivon would never touch her with Keith around, right…?

Regardless, the two soon arrived in Zivon’s private courtyard… The courtyard itself was silent, and though the house’s lights were on, no laughter from the children could be heard. This was weird… Why were the children so silent?

Pursing her lips, Xavia then softly called out, “Yulia…? Maison…?”

In response, she heard Maison quietly call back, “Aunt…? Come in…!”

…Come in? After turning to look at Keith, both of them then stepped into Zivon’s home… and soon after, they were greeted by the sight of the children lying on a cozy-looking couch. Though Maison was awake, Yulia was fast asleep. Even so, one of her hands was grabbing on tightly to Maison’s clothes…

Before Xavia could say a word, Maison took the initiative to whisper, “Shh… It’s alright, just let Yulia sleep here…”

“…That wouldn’t be too good for her… Just let me carry her home…” muttered Xavia.

“But I promised Yulia that she’d see me when she woke up… I really don’t want to go back on my word…” replied Maison, prompting Xavia to momentarily go silent. To think that the boy already knew what it meant to go back on one’s words…

Xavia’s train of thought was cut short when she heard Maison add in a slightly pleading tone, “Speaking of which, Daddy hadn’t eaten a thing for dinner… He said that he had problems with his stomach, so would you mind making a bowl of noodles for him…? Maybe convince him to eat a little…?”

His request stunned her for a bit. Zivon hadn’t eaten? Some adult he was! Why couldn’t he eat on his own?
