Though she had applied medicine last night—and her lips were slowly healing—, she was worried that others would notice that there was something wrong with her lips if they paid too much attention to her. Either way, her train of thought was cut short when the receptionist asked, “Here to meet Young Master Keith, Miss Lockhart?”

Nodding in response, Xavia then said, “Indeed. I’m here to bring him his breakfast.”

“How romantic! I’m envious of you two! However, Young Master Keith isn’t in his office right now… He went out to inspect the construction site earlier at six!”

“…Huh? Then, do you know when he’ll be back…?”

“I don’t, though you could ask him through a call…”

“Got it, thanks,” replied Xavia as she began walking out of the building with the lunchbox in hand. While making her way for the exit, she tried giving Keith a call…

Once the call connected, she was prompted to say, “Young Master Keith? I went to your office to give you breakfast, but the receptionist told me that you’re now at a construction site. Should I come over to hand you your breakfast?”

This left Keith momentarily surprised. After all, he was well aware of what happened at home last night. The extent of how much Zivon cared for his girl was truly beyond his expectations… However, Xavia’s defensiveness toward that man also took him by surprise.

After all, from what Keith knew, no woman had ever been able to resist Zivon’s charm. With that in mind, to think that Xavia still had the heart to make him breakfast and send it to him this morning…

Shaking the thought off, Keith then replied, “…Didn’t you say that you wouldn’t think about me till your hand recovered…?”

“It barely takes any effort for me to prepare breakfast, and it’s not like it causes my wound to get worse. With that said, where’s this construction site you’re at? Is it far from the Burton Group building? Do you need me to bring a set of clean clothes over? Also, are you going to be staying there for a while so you won’t have to travel back and forth?” asked Xavia.
