He must have gone insane! Even so, she really didn’t have the strength to struggle anymore. After all, she had already bitten and even slapped him, yet nothing had worked… She was now as lifeless as a puppet…
Either way, once Zivon released all his pent-up rage, he finally released her. Glaring at the poor woman for quite a while, he eventually asked, “…Tell me. Why exactly have you been so cold to me lately? And don’t you dare say it’s because of Keith.”
Zivon remembered a time when she had been so cute and spirited, even while she was resisting him. Nowadays, she simply gave off the impression that he had done something unforgivable like dig up her ancestor’s grave! He absolutely despised that feeling! As for why he didn’t believe that Keith was the reason, Xavia simply hadn’t acted this way before, even when she was with Stefan.
That aside, Xavia couldn’t help but find it hilarious that he’d ask her that after kissing her thrice. Rather than feeling angry, she no longer felt a thing toward him. Just pure coldness.
After a brief pause, she was prompted to reply, “No particular reason. I’ve just witnessed some incidents, that’s all.”
“What incidents?” asked Zivon who still couldn’t understand why she was behaving this way.
Feeling her eyelids twitch, Xavia then said, “Not everything requires such thorough understanding. As long as your heart knows, that’ll do.”
She, for one, wasn’t about to ask him why he had chosen not to save her back then. It was humiliating. After all, ‘murderers’ like her didn’t deserve his help, right?
Understandably irked by her attitude, Zivon retorted, “Stop playing word games and explain yourself!”
“Look, I’m tired and I really don’t want to make a big fuss about tonight so let’s just leave it at that… However, if you ever do something similar, I’ll definitely notify Lady Burton. While you aren’t afraid of most things, I’m sure you care about her life, right…?” replied Xavia as she pushed him away before heading upstairs…
Now alone, Zivon’s frigidness reached its peak…! This d*mned woman was going to make him explode one day…!
It was sometime later in Full Bloom—Darlsbury’s largest entertainment center owned by Chace that was a money cave for rich men—when Chace and Zayne could be seen entering one of its rooms.
Upon noticing Zivon—who was drinking alone on a couch—, they walked over before asking, “Drinking alone in the dead of night? What’s made you this upset?”
