Fast forward to after the two had been dropped off at school, the atmosphere in the car grew exceedingly quiet. After staring at the charming side profile of the man seated in the front seat for a while, Xavia eventually brought herself to say, “…As a father, shouldn’t you be bringing the boy up properly? Stop allowing him to have so many unnecessary thoughts. That aside, when are you going to stop bugging me?”

Raising a slight brow as he looked back at her through the rearview mirror, Zivon then replied, “What unnecessary thoughts is he having? Also, what do you mean that I'm bugging you?”

“I mean…! Maison clearly wants to set both of us up…! Also, the fact that you decided to drop off and pick up Yulia from school every day is evidently just you trying to bug me!” replied the pissed Xavia who really disliked his current behavior.

Upon hearing that, Zivon simply smirked as he replied in a sarcastic tone, “Maison only wants to have breakfast and go to school together with Yulia. As for me, I’m only doing as he pleases since I don’t wish for his condition to relapse. To think that you had assumed that we had an ulterior motive…”

His words made the now blushing Xavia momentarily speechless. It was clear that he was indirectly saying that she was the one having impure thoughts! That… That wasn’t the case at all! How was he distorting the truth like this?! But then again… was she really overthinking it…?

…No. Even if Zivon hadn’t planned any of this, Maison surely had! After telling that to herself, Xavia was prompted to say, “…You should study psychology during your free time. That way you’ll get to understand your child a bit better…”

The second the call connected, Keith’s voice could be heard saying, “I heard that Xavia took your car to send the children to school, Uncle Zivon. Is she still with you? Could you hand the phone to her?”

This made Zivon raise a slight brow as he replied, “…Why didn’t you just call her?”

Just as Zivon was wondering what Keith was trying to prove by calling him instead, he heard Keith say, “Her phone’s busted. I’ll be getting a new one for her later.”
