After all, despite being specialists of the field, even they were at their wits end earlier. With that in mind, how did this random young lady do it? Keith and the others were curiously looking at Xavia as well, anxiously awaiting her answer. To think she actually knew what she was doing…
Whatever the case was, Xavia simply calmly replied, “I didn’t do anything special. Since Lady Burton had a heart disease, I simply pressed a pressure point on her hand. You see, as a child, my grandmother told me that pressing this specific acupuncture point can help treat angina, myocarditis, rheumatic heart disease, bradycardia, arrhythmia, shock, fainting, and many others. With that in mind, I was simply trying it out.”
…So that was it? To think that Lady Burton was saved due to such a traditional method! Even so, everyone couldn’t help but view Xavia in a slightly different light. Though she looked plain and was nowhere near as dazzling as Jenna, nobody could deny that she had already saved Lady Burton’s life, twice. Maybe she wasn’t so useless after all…
Fast forward to lunchtime, everyone now had much more pleasant attitudes toward Xavia. In fact, many of the aunts were taking the initiative to talk to her.
“Can we call you Xavia, Third Young Lady? I saw the sweet news about you and Keith, and I’m honestly jealous to bits!”
“I know, right? I honestly thought that you two were just playing around or pretending to be in a relationship before this. That aside, I was so envious when I saw the picture of you two eating hot pot!”
“All that aside, how do you find Keith? I personally find the boy to be gentle, and he’s known how to dote on others ever since he was a child.”
As the aunts continued rambling, Xavia couldn’t help but peek at Keith who was now serving her soup. Though he didn’t completely place his trust in her earlier, he had still asked her to stop first rather than simply drag her away. With that in mind, he had honestly done a pretty good job.
This prompted her to smile as she replied, “I find Young Master Keith to be quite the fine man. He’s arguably more thoughtful than I am on many things, and I’m fortunate to have met him.”
Xavia meant every word she said. After all, no matter how he had treated her before this, he was still the one who had saved her from prison.
Upon hearing that, Keith’s expression darkened slightly as he turned to look at how grateful Xavia appeared… After all, he—of all people—knew that he had waited two whole days before actually saving her from her living hell. Aside from that, he had only saved her for his own selfish interests, yet here she was, treating him like he was her savior…
