It was at that moment when a person wearing a red gown fell to the washroom floor, her walking stick toppling right next to her… It was Ava!
Though Xavia didn’t really like her, a human’s life was at stake here, so she immediately rushed over while calling out, “Lady Burton? Lady Burton!”
However, Ava was completely out cold. From how pale it was, it seemed like Ava had fainted due to momentary blood and qi deficiency… Whatever the case was, Xavia quickly sent Keith a message, telling him to get a doctor over.
With that done, she then tried to pinch Ava’s philtrum. After all, when she was much younger, her foster father would do the same thing to her grandmother whenever she fainted out of the blue. Thankfully, it wasn’t long before Xavia could feel Ava breathing normally again.
The dazed Ava herself slowly opened her eyes to see an extremely worried girl looking back at her while asking, “Grandma…? Can you hear me…? How are you feeling…?”
All this reminded Ava of a similar incident that had taken place about ten years ago… At the time, the girl had looked just as worried and had even asked her the same questions… With that in mind, Ava—who sounded slightly confused—slowly held onto Xavia’s hand before saying in a weak tone, “You… saved me again… Jenna…”
Naturally, this left Xavia speechless. Before she could explain herself, she heard Keith call out from behind the door, “Pardon the intrusion! A doctor and I will be entering for a moment!”
Following that, Keith hurriedly walked in, followed by the extremely well-dressed Fiona. Though Fiona glanced at Xavia, she said nothing and simply squatted by Ava’s side.
As for Keith, he was quick to ask, “Where do you feel uncomfortable, Grandma? Is your heart aching? Any dizziness?”
Ava had a heart disease as well as high blood pressure, so it was necessary to find out what had caused her to faint if Keith wanted to prescribe the right medication for her. To Keith’s dismay, Ava didn’t seem to have heard a word he had said. All she did was continue holding onto Xavia’s hand, her lips occasionally twitching as she mumbled incoherently… Things weren’t looking too good.
“She needs to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible,” said Xavia, prompting Keith to nod as he quickly squatted and faced his back against the trio.
