As the tall man walked closer to her, the pressuring aura—he always carried around—made it feel like he was a hunter out to get his prey… With that in mind, Xavia felt her body tense up as she instinctively took a step back while saying, “W-what do you plan on doing? I’ll call for help if you take another step further!”
Sneering in response, Zivon only stopped once he was inches away from her. Following that, he scoffed, “Just so you know, a few words are all I need to make it impossible for you and Keith to be in a relationship. In fact, I could make it that no man would ever dare to marry you again!”
Though Xavia didn’t really care about the former, she did care about the latter. After all, the only way he was getting all men to fear marrying her… was by forcing her to copulate with him! That was what she feared most!
Her face now pale, she clenched her teeth before growling, “You…!”
“I what?” replied Zivon as he rubbed the coffee stain off her lip with a finger.
“In the end, you’re just a good girl who knows how to make a ruckus. You’re still too young to challenge my limits,” added the man before withdrawing his hand and leaving the area…
Xavia could still feel the heat from his fingertips on her lips… It was terrifying, to say the least. All the stunned girl could do was stand in place, feeling utterly helpless.
She had initially thought that after becoming Keith’s nominal girlfriend, Zivon would treat her like a stranger. With that in mind, why was he still refusing to let her go?
Xavia’s train of thought was cut short when the sales personnel ran in while exclaiming, “I-I’ve brought the ointment, miss!”
When she saw Xavia looking so aggrieved, she thought that it was because of her wound. Fearing the worst, the sales personnel quickly added in an anxious tone, “I-I’m really sorry about the accident…! I admit I was paying too much attention to the teapot! That aside, it must still hurt a lot, right…? P-please allow me to blow it cool for you…!”
Just as she was about to pull Xavia’s injured hand, Xavia—who saw that the girl was almost in tears—quickly shook her head before comforting, “Don’t worry, it’s much better now… Just give me the ointment and things will be fine… There’s no need to blame yourself…”
