“It’s a reporter who usually releases breaking news on Tuesdays. I’m assuming he realized that you were gaining popularity lately, which led to him create all sorts of news about you. After some investigating, I’ve managed to obtain pictures of him meeting and bribing your foster mother as well. He has accomplices from his studio as well. Regardless, if you need evidence, I have it,” replied Lily.
…What? It was just a reporter this entire time? Understandably surprised, Xavia was prompted to ask, “…Are you sure this information is reliable…?”
“I am. Look, things work differently in the entertainment industry. Having popularity in the news is like being granted a well-paid occupation. With that said, even if there was nothing to report about, he’d have tried to create trouble. That reporter is more ruthless than you think, and if my guess is correct, he should also be the person who took the photos last night. You really need to be more careful these days…”
“…Alright. I appreciate the warning,” replied Xavia.
After she hung up, Dolly was immediately prompted to ask, “Well? Was that little b*tch the culprit all along?”
Despite Dolly’s confidence that the culprit was Jenna, after listening to Lily’s deduction, Xavia had her doubts. Thinking back, there was no reason for Jenna to even create any hype around her. With that in mind, she shook her head before saying, “Negative. It’s Wayne Zabriskie, that Tuesday reporter that we’ve been following since the previous big news…”
“…What? It was him all along?! To think that the blogger you’re following is the one releasing all that black news about you! How scary!” replied Dolly in slight disbelief.
Xavia thought this world felt very new as well. After all, she had always been following news on the internet, but now she was being followed instead… Her train of thought was cut short when Dolly’s phone suddenly received several notifications.
Raising a slight brow, Dolly then took a look at her phone… only to quickly widen her eyes as she exclaimed, “Xavia, look! Chairman Talton’s clarified the matter for you!”
…What? Stefan? Now feeling slightly anxious, Xavia quickly looked at Dolly’s phone and realized that Stefan—who had apparently started a personal Facebook account—had posted a short text, stating, ‘Madam Fuller not only abused Xavia mentally and physically, but she also sold her foster daughter off to a pervert. With that in mind, how else should Xavia treat her? Though justice may be late to come, it always prevails. Xavia has only refrained from talking about this since she doesn’t want to be in the spotlight!’
Attached to that post, was a scan of a hospital certificate, stating, ‘Xavia Lockhart was injured and illegal drugs have been found in her system!’
There was also a court verdict that stated, ‘Luke Wilson, illegal trafficker of young girls, sentenced to imprisonment for life.’
Naturally, everyone was shocked to see the post. After all, the wealthy, humble, and mighty Stefan—who was comparable to Young Master Burton—was the one posting this! To think that Stefan—who didn’t use social media at all—would actually create a Facebook account just to show that Xavia had been wrongly blamed this entire time!
