Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 569

“…But… how is this possible…?” muttered Xavia. After all, it had been late last night and they were even in a room! How did someone manage to photograph them?!

From Xavia’s reaction, Dolly—who had already suspected that it was her—was prompted to exclaim, “So that really is you! What on earth is going on between you and Young Master Burton? Despite how much you two argue on the surface, are you this intimate with him behind the scenes? How far have you two gone?”

…How far had they gone? They hadn’t done a thing! Feeling a headache coming, Xavia was prompted to say, “…Just… give me some time off… I’m hanging up…”

Once the call ended, Xavia got up and headed to the bathroom to get a change and apply her makeup. She was planning to deny that the woman in the photo wasn’t her.

However, it didn’t take long before several knocks could be heard at her door! Following that, Xavia heard someone yell, “Miss Xavia? Miss Xavia! Are you in? Please open the door and tell us if you were the one with Young Master Burton last night!”

Cr*p. It was a reporter! If people found out that she had really stayed the night here, Xavia would never be able to clear her name again! What should she do?!

Xavia’s train of thought was cut short when she heard Maison—who had just woken up—say, “There’s no point panicking, Aunt… You may as well just be honest with them…”

Turning to look at the boy, she realized that he was already reading through the news with a smile on his face! Was he pleased about all this?! Had it not been for the fact that she was sure that Maison had already slept last night, Xavia would’ve seriously suspected that he was the perpetrator…

Shaking the thought off, the anxious woman then awkwardly replied, “…It… isn’t what you think it is, Maison…! Your daddy and I aren’t in that kind of relationship… In any case, I can’t let anyone learn that the person in the photo is me! Do you have any ideas…?”

Spreading his hands out, Maison then replied, “There really isn’t. After all, my mother was at the accident site last night, so she couldn’t be here right now. Aside from that, her clothes were different from yours the day before. What more, I’m sure the receptionist knows you’re not my mother since you were wearing a mask and following from behind last night. With all that said, it’s only a matter of time before people realize it really was you.”

The fact that Maison’s words made sense sent Xavia hurtling down an abyss of hopelessness. True enough, when it came to such things, the denizens of the internet were like bloodhounds. They’d definitely learn the truth sooner or later! But she couldn’t just do nothing about it!
