It sounded like a random sentence. On the surface, it would seem like Keith was talking about Maison, but in actuality, he was talking about seeing Xavia. Keith obviously had an ulterior motive.
Zivon’s posture was straight as he continued looking ahead and his expression remained completely unchanged.
He simply replied with a short hum of affirmation before continuing to maintain the same stony expression as before.
The atmosphere in the elevator suddenly grew tense and silent; even the sound of a needle falling to the ground could be heard.
Keith’s calm expression was filled with deep emotions.
He originally thought that his Uncle Zivon would show an emotional reaction or even do something to him when he heard that he had been with Xavia. However, Zivon was so calm that it was terrifying and he was completely unpredictable.
Keith was prepared to say something else when—
Ding! The elevator door opened.
Zivon took a step forward and walked out.
His noble figure disappeared from Keith’s sight within two seconds.
Keith stared after him in silence.
What exactly did Uncle Zivon mean?
Was he overestimating Uncle Zivon’s feelings for Xavia? Or was it because Uncle Zivon really thought so deeply about her that he would not reveal it even if he cared?
The chairman’s office.
The early morning light filtered in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The glass emitted a radiant and bright light, and the indoor greenery was vibrant.
Zivon took off his suit jacket, hung it on the coat hanger, walked to his desk and sat down gracefully as he took up some documents to review.
His movements were natural and elegant, without showing any other emotions.
However, the eyes looking through the documents were dark and deeper than that even the murky depths of the ocean.
Could not wait to see someone?
Just went over to see Xavia?
Pfft.
Knock. Knock. Someone rapped their knuckles on the door.
Nathan rushed in, in a state of panic. “Young Master, it’s not good. A landslide just happened at the project in Brentbrigg. Dozens of workers are buried and their life and death are unknown. It has already caused and aroused major controversy and discussion now.”
