It was late at night.
The car drove on the wide road and moved forward like a wild wolf in the dark night. Inside the vehicle, the atmosphere was quiet and suffocated.
Xavia swept a glance over the nobleman beside her, only to feel that there was a breeze of cold air emitted from his body which forcibly came right at her. That aura from him was making her breathless. She squeezed her palms and dared not speak, let alone ask why he would offer her a lift.
Nathan was behind the wheel in the front seat. His hands, which were holding the steering wheel, were also soaked in cold sweat. He had seen Young Master Burton being cold before, but he never saw him be this cold. So, Nathan quietly carried out his duty as a driver and tried to stay low, hoping to be neglected.
But for the love of God, where the hell was the destination? He had a severe headache...
After five minutes of driving aimlessly on the road, that nobleman finally opened his mouth,
“Don't you have a flight to catch at three o’clock?” Those words were meant for Xavia.
Xavia squeezed her palm tightly and replied, “Well, yeah, I am supposed to leave by three o’clock, but I never expect that kind of news to break out. Unfortunately, I received a phone call from my sister, so I have to stay back temporarily.” She put it lightly as if there was no big deal.
However, the expression of Zivon turned gloomy. He glared at her sharply. “You never expect that news to break out? So, you really did that with Keith Burton when you pretended to be Jenna? Hmm?” He asked a rhetorical question with a hint of oppression as his tone sounded chilling.
Only then did Xavia react.
The only time she had access to Keith was the time she was pretending to be Jenna! And Zivon also saw the several times she met with Keith! So now, he thought she had betrayed him?
Xavia didn’t know how to explain herself, so she just kept her mouth up and didn’t answer.
