A fierce slap landed on Xavia’s face. But, unfortunately, that slap came way too fast, too heavy and caught her totally unprepared. Xavia’s face was beaten to the point where she turned sideways. That delicate face of her immediately surged up with a noticeable slap mark.

Xavia raised her eyes and stared extremely cooly and horribly at Mr. Lockhart. She questioned him, “Who gave you the right to hit me?”

Mr. Lockhart replied righteously, “I am your father! You are unmarried, and yet you did that kind of thing with a man. Of course, you deserve a good beating!”

“That’s right. Do you know your actions almost hurt your sister? You don’t know your boundaries at all, compared to your sister!” Mrs. Lockhart also accused Xavia.

Xavia looked at them. The corners of her mouth were hooked up into a cold smile. This scene was ridiculous! It was a sarcastic laugh for her parents’ naivety, ignorance, stupidity, and cold-bloodedness.

If it wasn’t for her, their proud daughter would have fallen straight into hell this time! She, whom they hated so much, was just a scapegoat with good intentions to help! She would love to see what kind of expression they would have when they learned the truth.
