In the beginning, Maison had purposely bound Xavia’s identification details to his phone to make her stay, and for him to pay attention to her movements.
When the boy saw the tickets, his little brow frowned. He rushed downstairs without saying a word. Then, he yelled in a thunderous voice, “Daddy! Aunt is going back to S City!”
Inside the living room, Zivon Burton was sitting on the sofa while reading the documents that he had to deal with. Just then, the sunset shone through the French windows and onto him coincidentally. The sunlight layered his body with a layer of gold. The man seemed both sacred and noble.
His hand, which was flipping through the documents, paused for a moment. The expression on his face was hard to read.
When Jenna, who was cooking in the kitchen, heard the news, her beautiful eyes were stunned for a moment. Then, she stopped cooking momentarily and walked out of the kitchen.
“Maison, did your aunt send you a message and tell you she would be leaving?” That scheming woman must have deliberately dropped the boy a message before she left. Wasn’t she doing that just to grab their attention on purpose?
The boy shook his head and replied, “Not really, I locked on Aunt’s identity information, and I saw her booking details. The tickets are scheduled to leave by three o’clock tomorrow morning.”
She actually guessed it wrong!
Jenna’s expression stiffened for a moment before she recovered.
She said softly, “Be nice now. Your aunt grew up in S city, so she has her family, relatives and her original job there waiting for her. Of course, she should go back, instead of staying in Darlsbury, where she’s unfamiliar with the place and finds it very uncomfortable.”
“No, it’s not like that! It’s obvious that Aunt is going to stay here and work here. I don’t understand why she has to go. So Daddy, why don’t you make a call and ask her?” The little fella looked at Zivon eagerly.
Jenna balled her fists tightly.
Why did that little brat adore Xavia so greatly?
As a matter of fact, she was more concerned with whether Zivon would make a phone call to ask Xavia to stay. What was his attitude toward her departure?
Zivon, who was being stared at by the duo, continued to maintain his cold expression. He seemed aloof and indifferent. One could not tell his real emotions at all. No one knew what he was thinking, nor could they guess what he was up to. This man seemed superior as if nothing really concerned him.
Jenna’s heart was overwhelmed with anxiety. She didn’t want the two to get involved in any relationship. She pursed her lips and said, “I think I heard someone mention that my sister’s first love is in S City now. Therefore, she is eager to go back.”
This was a random excuse Jenna had come up with.
