It was half past ten.
Zivon arrived at the Burton family’s old mansion with Xavia.
When Dylan saw them, he greeted them with a kind face and a smile. “Zivon, Sister-in-law, you both are back so early. You seem to care about Grandma very much. She will definitely be very happy to know about it.”
It sounded like a greeting and a compliment. In fact, he was implying that the appointment was at noon, but why were they back so early?
Zivon replied calmly, “Filial piety always comes first. Therefore, it is only natural for us to place Grandma in the first place. Jenna, go up and give Grandma a massage.”
Xavia nodded and followed Zivon upstairs.
Dylan stood downstairs as he looked at the two figures. When they disappeared completely, he stretched out his hand and beckoned at Charles. “Keep a close eye on her today. Don’t ever give her a chance to leave the old mansion.”
“Don’t worry, Eldest Uncle. I’ve already talked to several maids and asked them to keep an eye on Aunt-in-law. Let’s take a good look today and find out whether she is genuine or not.”
“Mm.”
Upstairs, Xavia stood behind the massage chair and massaged Ava’s head skilfully. Her voice was soft as she asked, “Grandma, why did you have insomnia? Don’t think too much when you sleep at night. Just sleep at ease. You will fall asleep for sure.”
“Jeez. Isn’t it all because of that incident yesterday? Tell me, why would that person say that you were Xavia Lockhart for no good reason? If something like that is really going to happen, what would happen to the Burton family then?”
Xavia’s small hands tensed up slightly and she looked at Zivon before she said, “Grandma, you’re thinking too much. That kind of thing will never happen.”
Ava sighed again and said, “Jenna, I believe everything you say but I constantly feel unsettled, as if something is going to happen.”
These words completely described what Xavia was feeling at this time.
Although Zivon said that he had a solution before this, she could not think of any way to make a second her appear. She forced a smile and said, “Grandma, why don’t I sing you a song?” She comforted the old woman and could also relax herself.
“Okay.”
Soon, the soulful and comfortable singing of the simplest folk songs filled the air.
After a while, Ava drifted off to sleep because of the pleasant singing and the comfortable massage.
“Miss Lockhart, you are really amazing. I really have to learn from you properly.” Louisa spoke up.
