“Where are you off to? I’m free to give you a ride if you need one,” added Keith, his tone as polite and friendly as ever.
Truth be told, Xavia no longer felt the need to be overly vigilant around him. After all, not only had he saved her before this, but he even posted that powerful video today to clarify the situation. Though that was the case, Xavia still felt that it was better to avoid him. After all, she’d rather not get into any more trouble in her final two days.
With that in mind, Xavia simply replied, “I appreciate the offer, but I’m simply headed to the nearby department store. Besides, I’m in the mood to take a breather, so I’ll just walk over.”
Simply smiling when he heard that, Keith then got out of his car before giving his secretary a look—a clear hint for him to drive off—before walking over to Xavia’s side and saying, “I’ll walk with you, then!”
Upon hearing that, Xavia—who knew for a fact that walking together with him would look highly suspicious to others—was prompted to ask, “…Are you looking for me for something…?”
Slipping a hand into his pocket, Keith then said, “Not really. I just wanted to share a bit about Uncle Zivon. Basically, have you heard of how his stomach illness came to be?”
This prompted Xavia to shake her head. She wasn’t exactly Jenna, so why would she know such detailed things about him?
Regardless, upon seeing that, Keith then said, “Well… For context, Uncle Zivon isn’t actually grandma’s child. You see, while grandpa was on one of his business trips, he met with some danger. Thankfully, a woman found him and nursed him back to good health. As you’ve probably guessed, they eventually ended up falling for each other. When grandpa returned, however, grandma quickly found out about that woman and was understandably against her. In the end, grandma even went so far as to ban her from entering Darlsbury!”
“It should be noted that the woman didn’t know that grandpa was married, nor was she aware that he was in charge of the Burton family. With that in mind, once she realized the truth, she took the initiative to break up with him. However, they had already copulated by that point, and Uncle Zivon was eventually born a few months later. After that woman died from dystocia, grandpa ended up bringing Uncle Zivon home.”
“Since Uncle Zivon wasn’t born to the rightful family, there were initially plans to disown him. Grandma, for one, absolutely hated him for a time. However, it was later revealed that Uncle Zivon’s IQ was higher compared to everyone else’s in the Burton family. What more, he was also born at an auspicious time. With that in mind, great-grandma grew to like him, and grandpa favored him as well. Due to those factors, Uncle Zivon was given the status of a Burton.”
“However, aside from Aunt Winnie, my father and his siblings remained discontent with that decision. Because of that, they kept ostracizing Uncle Zivon. Growing up in such an environment, Uncle Zivon naturally had to work much harder than everyone else from a very young age. With that in mind, he pretty much never rested, and he honestly never even got a chance to play with toys either. He simply spent all his time studying. The sheer amount of stress and anxiety eventually led to those stomach problems…”
“With all that said, though everyone sees Uncle Zivon as a high and mighty person who’s lived glamorously all his life, I honestly view him as someone worthy of my respect. Either way, I’m telling you all this since I feel that you’ve been having a rather hard time recently. Now that I’ve told you all this, I hope you’ll see him in a different light and be more considerate toward him…” explained Keith before leaving shortly after.
