It was a text message from Dolly.
[Xavia, I just found this novel. There’s a published version. Send your address to me, and I’ll mail it to you.]
A novel?
That’s it! Chace was Zivon’s good brother. If she could help Chace and Bianca to get back together, Zivon’s anger would be quelled and he would be able to forgive her for such a big deal, right?
Even if that did not work, Chace was still someone powerful enough that she could ride his coattails. When the time came, she could ask Chace for help!
Xavia felt that this method was feasible, so she quickly replied: [No need. I’ll just read the electronic version. Thank you, Dolly. I love you.]
After that, Xavia fell into a frenzy reading the novel.
As she read the novel, she also took notes one by one of the information about how the male lead eventually made the female lead change her mind.
At night, Xavia did not go down for dinner when the maid asked her to. In the end, Matthew was the one who personally delivered her meal to her room.
“Xavia, what are you reading?”
“A novel,” Xavia casually replied as she was obviously too absorbed in the novel.
Matthew initially planned to discuss something with her but he could only give up when he saw her in this state.
“I’ve already adjusted tonight’s meal for you. I’ll leave the food here. You have to remember to eat.”
“Mm-hmm.” Xavia nodded and her eyes were still fixated on her cell phone screen.
Matthew helplessly withdrew from the room. When he went out, he happened to run into Kevin and said in a friendly manner, “Young Master Kevin, since you’ve had a kidney replacement before, I can do a full body examination for you if you have time.”
Kevin refused. “I’m in good health. You don’t need to do a check-up for me. You should focus all of your attention on Jenna instead. You can just call me Kevin from now on, just like you did when we were studying.”
He was polite and peaceful. In fact, he was always a nice person.
He only treated Xavia viciously and sternly.
At this point, his attitude was obviously different from before as he asked coldly, “What is Xavia doing in the room?”
Matthew’s gaze deepened. “She said that she was a little tired so she is resting.”
“Pfft. It’s just a blood donation, yet she’s making herself look so sick. She’s just trying to gain your sympathy. Don’t let her fool you,” Kevin said those words before walking away.
