Quickly pushing him away, Lana grumbled, “W-we’re still in public, you know…?!”

Raising a slight brow, James replied, “So… You’re saying we should continue this in private, then…?”

Instantly blushing, all she could do was gently hit him, prompting James to chuckle before saying, “Alright… Let’s head home.”

With that said, he began leading her to his car…

On their way, Lana couldn’t help but take note of how dirty he looked… but at the same time, he still appeared as attractive as ever… Was she finally starting to fall for him…?

Upon arriving home, Lana pursed her lips before saying, “…I’m sure you still got burned in some areas, so… Sit down and let me patch you up.”

Unable to stop her, all James could do was hold his breath as Lana began disinfecting any bruises or burns that she could find…

Noticing the pain in his eyes, Lana sighed before saying, “So you do know what pain feels like…”

Though her tone was spiteful, James could tell that she was now being gentler with her movements… and after a while, he was prompted to say, “…Maybe it’ll hurt less if you promise me a reward…”

Pausing a little, Lana replied, “…What do you have in mind?”

“A hug or kiss would be nice, though, if you’re feeling generous…”

Naturally, Lana immediately blushed! To think that he was still in the mood for all this! Thankfully, the phone soon rang, and after shaking her head, she picked it up and asked, “H-hello…?”

“Lana? We haven’t actually had a welcome party for you before this, so we’re hosting one tonight at King Cole Bar. Come on over! We’re all waiting for you.”

Though Lana didn’t really like mingling around, she found it hard to decline such an invitation so she ultimately agreed. After hanging up, she turned to look at James before saying, “I’m heading out for a bit… Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon.”

Watching as she quickly made her way to the door, James could tell that she was just trying to avoid giving him his ‘reward’ as well… And after a smirk, he walked up to her and said, “It’s late, so I’ll drive you over.”
