Finding Xavia’s words reasonable, Zivon replied, “I’ll talk to him and tell you what I find.”

“I appreciate it…” said Xavia who was genuinely pleased that he hadn’t decided to call her naïve or overly kind.

Smiling in response, Zivon replied, “Were you expecting a lecture? Xav, I already knew what I was getting into when I married you… Jokes aside, stay safe, alright?”

“You too…” concluded Xavia before flushing the toilet and heading out…

When she got back to the room, she realized that Sophia had fallen asleep with her boys in her arms… and following a sigh, Xavia covered them up with a quilt.

Having nothing better to do, she began exploring the place… and to her surprise, the kitchen was filled with all sorts of fresh meat and vegetables. There was even a fully sustainable garden down here that would ensure that they wouldn’t ever truly run out of food…

Moving on, she was able to find a playground, study, gym, and many other facilities… It was clear that Sophia had put a lot of thought into this, and Xavia was feeling thankful that Maison had chosen to play along for so long instead of simply trying to escape and endanger himself… It reminded her of Fabiola’s situation, and all she could do was clench her fists as she hoped for the best…

Fast forward to the next morning, Sophia was surprised to see breakfast waiting for her at the dining table. Raising a slight brow, she couldn’t help but stare at Xavia, who was tending to the garden, before asking, “…Why?”

Smiling in response, Xavia then walked over to a whiteboard that she had pushed over before writing, ‘You looked pretty pale throughout the night, so I figured that I may as well make you breakfast. I’m assuming this is partly because of how stuffy things are down here so… Why don’t you consider heading out?’

…For some reason, this woman’s warmth felt… familiar…

Unable to pinpoint what that feeling meant, Sophia eventually revealed a wry smile as she replied, “Though I appreciate the kind gesture, this place is still heaven compared to the outside world…”
