Nodding in response, Ian explained, “Basically, he never gave up hope that the kids were still alive. Quite honestly, we figured that it was just a coping mechanism for him, but… As it turned out, he was right. Following that, we tried to get him to use your blood, but as it turned out, doing so could potentially kill you, so… Really, it was a dire situation, and had you not woken up sooner, I fear he could’ve ended himself by overdosing…”
