Moving on to Ian, he couldn’t help but worry since Zivon hadn’t given a status report in a while.
Noticing that, Jovan was prompted to say, “…If Sophia was inside, then I’m sure Young Master Burton would be able to easily handle her. With that said, since it’s taken quite a while-”
“Sometimes it’s better not to state your mind!” snapped Ian before glaring at his programmer and saying, “You there! Show us what he’s seeing!”
Nodding in response, the programmer quickly accessed the cameras that had been installed into Zivon’s diving suit… but to their surprise, everything was white! Was that smoke?
Quickly putting two and two together, Ian got up and yelled, “Damn it, he’s in trouble…!”
Watching as Ian bolted out, Jovan quickly attempted to pull him back… but he was too late. Ian was already swimming toward the hatch as quickly as a speeding bullet! Slamming the copy of Zivon’s palm print (that they had earlier made) against the hatch, it slowly began sliding open… and the next thing he knew, he was being pushed backward!
Understandably startled, he was just about to fight back when he realized… that the person who had pushed him was Zivon! What’s more, he looked oddly weakened!
Before Ian could ask what had happened, he squinted as Zivon mouthed the words, ‘Leave… Danger…’
Hugging the nearly unconscious man, Ian then noticed all the white gas behind him. Damn it, had it all been another trap?! Though irked, he prioritized Zivon’s safety and quickly began swimming the man back to the submarine.
Thankfully, the dive team noticed that something was off and quickly got the two onboard again. Just in time, too, as the second the gas touched the water, it instantly ballooned out like a torpedo! How horrifying!
It was about ten minutes later when they finally resurfaced… and after catching their breaths, the relieved Frankston twins immediately attempted to ask what the hell had happened down there.
After calling an ambulance over, Ian sighed before grumbling, “It was a trap, and he may have inhaled poisonous gas! He needs immediate treatment, and I need to know what kind of gas that is! James, Jacob, stay here and continue handling things for me while I go investigate! Jovan, get me a set of protective clothing fit for this task!”
