“Were you aware of their actions? What do you think about the situation?”

“Do you think the law has a right to persecute them?”

Though the husband and wife had the right to remain silent and had even been ordered by Ian to do so, Homer eventually took a deep breath before saying, “…Though we could’ve easily lied, we believe that we should set a good example for the other citizens of Aplos… So yes, we admit that we knew about all this.”

Naturally, this came as a shock to everyone! To think that even the royal family could be this corrupt! However, Homer was far from done explaining.

“To clarify, Ian didn’t spare Jenna as many assume. Basically, he learned that Jenna and Xavia were our biological daughters at the very last moment… and because of Xavia’s unique blood type and lack of potential donors, he decided to ‘save’ Jenna as an emergency solution. That’s honestly the only reason Jenna was kept alive for the longest time.”

“Also, though Mr. Squire said that Jenna had ‘lived’ in a temple to remain hidden, that’s only a partial truth. Yes, she hid there, but throughout her time there, she had mostly remained handcuffed and was forced to cultivate there. It was Ian’s way of trying to set her right again, and thankfully, it worked. Jenna returned a new leaf, and because of her, Xavia has been able to cheat death more than once now…”

“With all that said, though Ian went against the law, we firmly believe that it was justified. After all, had Jenna died back then, she wouldn’t have been able to make this comeback and try her best to make the world a better place. As for why Ian and Zivon haven’t brought any of this up, do you think they were given a chance before they were taken away? I’ll just leave it up to the public to make sense of what I mean.”
