“It didn’t seem like she was lying when she kept insisting that she had been set up last night. Keith himself wouldn’t have had the courage to do anything to her at the banquet.”

“What more, she only went upstairs about twenty-six minutes earlier than we did. Considering the time she would’ve needed to get a change in the dressing room, I’d say she’d only have about ten minutes—at most—with Keith in the garden. What do you think could have happened in ten minutes?”

“Let’s not forget that Stefan is her boyfriend. With that said, why would she ever be interested in someone like Keith?” explained Zivon—who had given the situation some deep thought last night—in a calm and methodical manner. Truth be told, he would’ve surely realized all this much sooner had it not been for his anger clouding his perceptiveness.

Regardless, upon hearing all that, Zayne immediately gave Zivon a thumbs up before saying, “I’m glad you think so! I, for one, don’t think that Xavia is such a person. After all, she did leap off that high building just to save Maison back then. Besides, if she’s not even interested in you, there’s no way she would be interested in Keith-”

The second Zayne realized what he had just said, he quickly noticed that Zivon’s expression had turned frigid. After momentarily clasping his mouth shut, Zayne gulped before adding, “…In any case, I’m pretty sure someone else must have set her up last night… With that said, you should try to gather more details from her once she gets up… We need to get to the bottom of this!”

In response, Zivon simply grunted in approval. While he still didn’t know who the mastermind was, Zivon had a feeling that the perpetrator was either trying to create a divide between him and Xavia, or they were just trying to embarrass Xavia back at the banquet. Whichever it was, Zivon wasn’t about to hold back till everything was fully investigated.

Still, regardless of who had plotted the entire incident and whether or not it was truly an accident, Zivon had a feeling that there should be some other relationship between Xavia and Keith. While he still had no idea what it was, he’d figure everything out in due time…

Zivon’s train of thought was cut short when Zayne suddenly yelled, “Z-Zivon! Things don’t look good…!”

“What’s wrong?”

“Well… Though I’ve given her the best antipyretic medication I have as well as a fluid infusion, her body temperature hasn’t gone down! In fact, it’s increased by zero point one degrees! I… I’ve never encountered such a situation before!” exclaimed Zayne with a frown as he stared at the thermometer in his hand.

“…Do I look like a doctor to you? Why are you even telling me all that gibberish? Hurry and think of a way to bring her fever down!” grumbled Zivon.
