She would not accept insults for something that she did not do, especially if they came from someone like Fiona!

“That’s enough!” A deep voice boomed.

A large hand grabbed Xavia’s hand, stopping her from slapping Fiona.

Xavia looked up to see Zivon glaring down at her. His handsome features were twisted in anger, and he looked intimidating under the light.

Xavia pursed her lips unhappily. “What are you doing? You actually believe her? You're upset because I hit her?”

Zivon’s gaze was extremely cold but he didn't answer her questions, instead saying, “Apologize to Fiona.”

What?

Apologize to Fiona?!

Xavia could not believe it. She narrowed her eyes and snorted.

She forgot about his relationship with Fiona… of course he would defend her.

As for Xavia, she was just a woman that he found mildly interesting. He did not trust her, like her, or even find her significant enough to talk about.

He chose to believe in Fiona. It made sense, but it was still extremely disappointing.

Nonetheless, Xavia was not someone that he could just control as he pleased. “I’m not going to apologize.”

Fiona was very aggrieved as she said, “Brother Zivon, there's no need for this. This is the first time in my life that someone has ever hit me—it hurts but I will deal with it on my own. You don’t need to feel upset. You were so good to her but she betrayed you and she is not worthy of you at all.”
