Everyone was thoroughly disgusted by Xavia, and they would’ve definitely continued humiliating her had Zivon not suddenly cleared his throat before declaring, “Thank you for your kind words, everyone. However, let it be known that the main purpose of today’s banquet is to apologize to my wife.”
…What? As everyone, Xavia included, turned to look at the screen in surprise, Zivon added, “Unlike what everyone believes, my wife has never abandoned her family, as in, she never cheated on me either.”
“Long story short, I’ve had an inferiority complex ever since I lost my legs, and because of that, I kept taking out my repressed rage on her… She felt wronged, of course, but that only motivated her to help me even more.”
“You should all know that at the start, she didn’t even hesitate to defend my reputation whenever I got made fun of, and she even made sure to always make sure that I felt loved… Alas, that ultimately didn’t work, but she eventually learned that by constantly humiliating me, I would get so angry to the point where a miracle would happen… and as you can all see, it worked. I can now walk again…”
“To further clarify, she had never been in love with Mark, nor had she flung with him. If anything, all of this began because Mr. and Mrs. Talton drugged them up and locked them in a room together. Their goal? To make her their daughter-in-law, but that’s another story. Anyway, she fully embraced the role of villainess just to help my legs recover…”
“She’s already had to suffer enough, but until the very last moment, she kept on praying in silence that I’d be able to walk again… She traded all her reputation for my health, and she’s honestly the kindest woman in the world… With that said, I won’t hesitate to sue anyone who badmouths her from now on! …Is what I would say if it wasn’t for the fact that I, her husband, have been the one who hurt her most…”
