“To hell with that damned wheelchair…! Why the hell didn’t you run a proper investigation before telling me that she was here?!” roared Zivon as he knocked the wheelchair over.

Trembling in response, Nathan was just about to answer when a familiar voice suddenly replied, “I was the one who arranged for that, so don’t be too hard on Mr. Miller.”

Raising a slight brow, Zivon realized that it was Ian… and after frowning a little, he was prompted to ask, “…Explain yourself.”

Sneering in response, Ian scoffed, “I was already well aware that Rhea would attempt to harm Xavia sooner or later, which is why I had a spy follow her around for a while. As it turned out, she had initially attempted to get your professor to make you forget about Xavia through drugs, but thankfully, your professor still had his ethics, which is why he refrained from doing as she said.”

“Alas, she had a plan B that involved her getting her hands on Nathan’s phone. By that point, I just wanted to see what she wanted to do, so I let her do what she wanted… and as it turned out, she had told Xavia to bring Mark over to the surgery room so that she could ‘save’ you since you were apparently ‘dying’ and needed some rage to survive.
