Unfortunately, as the saying goes, when it rain, it pours.
That night, Xavia received a call from Nathan. She was surprised, but she answered, "Hello?"
“Mrs. Burton! I have bad news! Young Master Burton has gotten his hands on suicidal medication! I can't imagine what would have happened if I didn't discover this!"
What? Suicidal medications?
“What happened? Wasn’t he doing fine and accepting treatment?”
“I don’t understand either. I’m trying to get Young Master Burton to talk, but he won't! I called you because I have no idea what to do! Please, Mrs. Burton, could you come over?”
“Hold on! I’ll be over right away!”
Xavia hung up the call, told the maids to take care of the babies, then rushed to the hospital. When she arrived, the man was seated in the wheelchair, facing the large windows as he studied the night scenery outside. He seemed extraordinarily cold and lonely.
An oppressing and suffocating aura filled the entire ward, and it was all coming from this man!
“Mrs. Burton…” Nathan almost cried when he saw her.
He hadn't believed Young Master Burton, who seemed fine, would do something like that. It felt as though Young Master Burton would disappear suddenly.
Even Xavia could not imagine the consequences if Nathan hadn't found out, but she tried to calm down.
“It’s fine. Please prepare some hot drinks while I talk to him.”
“Understood,” Nathan replied and immediately left the room.
The room was quiet as his footsteps faded away.
Xavia walked into the ward and closed the door. Looking at the terrifying figure, she asked, “Are you out of your mind? You wanted the children, and I’ve given them to you. You’re a father of four, so how could you do this?”
