Noticing the hope in her eyes, Zivon was prompted to kiss her gently on the lips before saying, “…I love you, Xav… Hang in there…”
After Xavia nodded weakly, Zivon added, “Speaking of which, have you come up with any names for the babies…? For me, I think a combination of our family names sounds nice, which is why I’m going for Frank and Fabiola Burton… What do you think?”
Though Xavia already had a few names in mind before this, she had to admit that Zivon had placed more consideration in those two names compared to any of the ones she had thought of. With that in mind, she was just about to slowly nod when all of a sudden… The sounds of wailing could be heard.
“T-The babies have safely been delivered…! They both look healthy…!”
“Congratulations, you two! With how adorable the newborns are, it’s clear that they’ve inherited your superior genes!”
Those words reminded her that she had been told something similar in the past when she had given birth alone… At the time, she had been wondering how much Zivon’s genes could actually affect the twins… But this time, she already knew that there was no need for any doubts. The babies were theirs, and it was set in stone that they would look absolutely gorgeous…
Her train of thought was cut short when a smiling doctor asked, “Would you like to cut the umbilical cord, Young Master Burton?”
The cutting of an umbilical cord was a meaningful event, and though Xavia assumed that Zivon would agree to it, she was left surprised when she heard him say, “It’s fine. I’ll continue holding onto my wife’s hand for now.”
Naturally, the doctors were left equally speechless. To think that they would have to face such corniness after that dangerous situation! Xavia herself had to fight the urge to face palm. Just why was her man like this…? Shaking her head, she then tried to sit up to have a look at her new babies.
