Gulping slightly, Dolly replied, “…H-he drank lots of booze earlier, and his doctor told me to come pick him up… I was the only person available, so-”

Though stunned, the irked Dolly couldn’t help but retort, “…I’m glad you know me well enough to know my next step! Since you’re well aware of what I’m going to do, what are you still standing there for? Beat it!”

“You…!” growled the infuriated Zayne as he watched Dolly purse her lips.

Since she refused to say another word, Zayne eventually clenched his fists before growling, “…You know, I came over tonight to propose to you… I managed to persuade my mom to let me marry you, and I even took the effort to get a diamond ring and some flowers to make things right again… Alas, it seems that my efforts had been for nothing!
