Nodding in response, Zivon replied, “Knowing Liam, he’ll probably only get worse from here on out. With that in mind, we need to always be one step ahead of him. How’s his mother looking?”

“Well… aside from a few minor injuries, she’s mostly fine,” said Nathan, who knew for a fact that Zivon had actually ordered someone to save that old woman at the last minute. In other words, she hadn’t suffered any burns at all! It had all been an illusion to scare Liam and make him feel pain!

Regardless, after hearing that, Zivon nodded and said, “Alright, be sure to keep the illusion up. In fact, make it seem like his mother’s condition has gone critical by tomorrow.”
