Essentially, the hundred-year-old building got caught in a raging fire! Since so many servants were on leave that particular day, not many were able to help with the situation, and to make matters worse, none of the fire trucks or ambulances were able to easily make their way over! After all, the vehicles were either greeted by surprise road maintenance or punctured tires! It was almost as if God didn’t want them to save the house!
Regardless, at the moment the fire started, Hershel’s family of three had been celebrating a birthday party… So when they finally noticed the billowing smoke coming in, they were quick to panic!
“L-Liam! Hurry and get your clothes wet! We need to help your father out!”
Nodding in response, Liam then removed his coat and poured some tea onto it before covering his mouth and rushing out the door. To his dismay, however, he quickly realized that most of the building had been constructed with expensive wood… Wood that made it extremely flammable!
Watching as the house began rumbling, Liam was caught off guard when a chandelier suddenly crashed right in front of him! Thankfully, he was able to evade getting crushed, but it was still shocking enough for him to let out a loud yelp!
Rushing toward him, his mother frantically asked, “L-Liam…! Are you alright?!”
Quickly snapping out of it, Liam gritted his teeth before holding his mother’s hands tightly as he replied, “…The house is going to collapse soon, so we need to get out!”
“Oh God…! Are we going to die here…?!” wailed the terrified woman as her eyes rolled back… and just like that, she passed out!
“…Mom? Mom! Damn it!” yelled the desperate Liam who realized that he now had to help two elders out of this blazing hell!
