...He genuinely appeared worried for her… Was it because he was feeling guilty for doing it to her while she was pregnant…? And didn’t want her to accidentally hurt herself…? How sweet… In the end, Xavia simply nodded and watched as Zivon closed the bathroom door behind him…
Following a subtle sigh, she then rested her head against the edge of the bathtub… but barely a few minutes later, she heard a knock coming from the bedroom door. Was that Nathan…?
Realizing that Zivon and Nathan were whispering, she figured that they were talking about something urgent. Not wanting to waste any more of his time, she quickly finished cleaning up before drying herself and slipping on the clothes that Zivon had chosen for her. Once done, she quickly yelled, “Zivon? I’m done!”
Upon hearing that, he was quick to enter the bathroom… but instead of just helping her to the bed, he instead took the time to slowly blow-dry her still-damp hair. After it was properly dried, he gently ordered, “Alright, since you’ve chosen to stay here, be sure to stay in this room all day. Don’t worry about cooking either. If Dolly can’t help with that, then I can. A pregnant woman shouldn’t cook, alright…?”
Despite his slightly stern tone, Xavia couldn’t help but feel her heart flutter. There truly was no greater man on the planet, was there? Thank God she had managed to persuade him to let her stay!
Either way, now that she had been dealt with, Zivon quickly began making his way to the study…
Nathan himself was already waiting for him there, though there was a worried expression on his face. After all, Zivon’s depression had become near unbearable in the past few days, and he really didn’t want to make things any harder for his poor Boss… Taking a deep breath, he quickly straightened his back when he heard approaching footsteps… and the second the door opened, Nathan bowed respectfully while saying, “…Here’s the information you wanted.”
“Alright, just leave it on the table. You’ve been working really hard lately, so head on home and take a few days off. You deserve a break.”
